Our Legacy
Declaration Worship is deeply rooted in the legacies passed down through generations. Our music tradition spans back to the late 1940s, with several of our members being descendants of families deeply immersed in Gospel music. We hold in high regard the individual legacies we carry and the significant mantles handed down by our forebears. One of the most prominent influences on our music is the legacy of "The Greenes."
"The Greenes" have left an indelible mark on Gospel music and our lives. Not only do we have the privilege of singing alongside a living legend, but we are also honored to call Tim Greene our Pastor. In 2019, Pastor Tim Greene took on leadership at Victory Church, and his unwavering dedication continues to inspire us daily.
In 2021, we embarked on a significant endeavor as a heartfelt tribute to honor the profound musical and cultural legacy of "The Greenes." As any music group can attest, creating a standard 10-song project is no small feat. However, we undertook something monumental – "The Legacy Project," a three-volume, 32-song collection that pays homage to their enduring influence.
We're thrilled to share that the first volume of this project was released in April 2023, with the subsequent volumes scheduled for release in the near future. These songs have undergone careful updates and have seamlessly integrated into our musical identity, becoming an integral part of who we are and what we represent. We're deeply grateful for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we've received regarding our music and the rich legacy we aim to preserve. Your support and appreciation mean the world to us.
